The main reason to choose the HT-C6200 over a £100 Blu-ray player is, of course, for cinema sound. Although the machine can decode the Blu-ray HD audio formats - Dolby True HD and DTS HD Master Audio - you’d best forget 5.1 sound effects. The system’s two speakers can deliver stereo only - its quasi-surround mode is less than successful. Instead a DPS button on the remote supplies modes for Smart Sound , Power Bass (initially frighteningly boomy - especially with action movies) - and a superb MP3 Enhancer that audibly lifts lo-res music.
Even easier to configure was the accompanying PS-WBD8200 powered sub, as the main unit automatically searched for and linked with the wireless kicker. The process required only about three seconds to go from standby to linked after power on, while the player itself was still warming up. A recessed "ID SET" button--the only control whatsoever on the sub itself--is provided to aid in the wireless configuration , but frankly the wireless connectivity was so reliable that I never needed any help. The cabinet is a respectable size for home theater use, yet remarkably lightweight, especially considering its onboard amplification. The connections around back are angled to facilitate hanging the soundbar directly on the wall, with a clear plastic installation template and metal mounting hardware included.

I watched several movies in Ekinos, most of the rooms aren't so impressive but the service and the people are kind and satisfying. Most of the rooms are really small but the big ones are extremly good and they have beautiful lighting and design. The reason that I voted E-Kinos with 3/5 Stars is because its not possible to pay with any kind of Bank Card and because some rooms are super small. Picture quality from a Blu-ray disc is exquisitely detailed, smooth and judder-free, while DivX HD files aren’t half bad either, though they are blighted only by the usual judder from fast-moving shots. (Pocket-lint) - With Blu-ray now firmly ensconced in the home entertainment landscape, it’s about time it was included in all-in-one home cinema systems - and this sub-£400 package from Samsung is one of the best value. An assessment or critique of a service, product, or creative endeavour such as art, literature or a performance.
Because the Blu-ray player is Profile 2.0 you can access BD Live extras, but it also supports YouTube video streaming as found on LG’s standalone BD370. The feature isn’t found on the first batch of systems but a later firmware update will enable it. Starting with the system’s sound performance, we gave it a run out with the ”Iron Man” Blu-ray disc and although we can’t pretend that the two channels do justice to its scintillating Dolby TrueHD soundtrack, you can certainly hear the high calibre of the speakers.

The front speakers are gorgeous, with a glossy black finish and oval shape that will attract plenty of attention. Each one is perched on a silver horseshoe-shaped stand and plugs into the back of the main unit using flimsy springclip terminals, another sign of all-in-one cost cutting. As for the subwoofer, the matching gloss-black finish makes it look fine from a distance but on closer inspection it’s worryingly light and hollow – although at least it’s sensibly mounted on rubber feet to minimise vibration. But these issues aside, the speakers display impressive finesse with the other sonic elements and music playback is a treat.

In general the deck is slick and speedy at handling Blu-ray discs, surfing around pop-up menus, scanning through discs and skipping chapters without the annoying pauses that blight some of its rivals. These bookshelf-style speakers are finely crafted and look attractive without being showy. The gloss black finish surrounding the speaker mesh is eye-catching enough, and the cables are pre-attached to each one so you don’t have to faff around with fiddly springclips or binding posts. High Definition SoundWith the integrated Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, DTS and Dolby Digital Plus decoders, enjoy ultra-realistic HD surround sound like it was meant to be. There is always a choice to be made when choosing a home cinema system, and the flipside of this relatively cable-light system is that the HT-C6200 doesn’t actually offer surround sound.
Samsung HT-BD7200 2.1-Channel Blu-ray Home Theater System
The argument is, of course, that not everyone has the space, budget or desire to incorporate a 7.1 or even a 5.1-channel system into their home, and a three-channel system is a great way of upgrading from tinny TV speakers without encroaching on precious living room space. All LG Blu-ray home cinema systems and Blu-ray players come complete with Dolby and DTS High Definition decoders to produce uncompressed high quality sound. On the rear of the slim, gloss black Blu-ray player is a host of ins and outs that include HDMI switching , Component video and Composite video, both optical and analogue audio, and a slot for attaching an add-on iPod dock.
Completing the socket selection is the DM Port, into which you can plug an optional Bluetooth adapter and stream music to the system from MP3 players, laptops and mobile phones, or connect an iPod. Enjoy superior home entertainment with Blu-ray discs that have more than twice the resolution of standard DVDs, not to mention superior sound. And for once, it actually does – when you play a Blu-ray disc, the most striking thing is how naturally powerful and dynamic the system is. Although the volume goes up to 40, we rarely felt compelled to push it over 20 – but if you do, the speakers show few signs of strain. The generosity continues with the inclusion of optical, coaxial and analogue audio inputs, plus component and composite video outputs. The connection roster is completed by an FM antenna input for the built-in radio tuner, a 3.5mm minijack input for MP3 players and an Ethernet port to take advantage of the system’s Blu-ray Profile 2.0 capabilities.
Harrison Ford’s mumbled dialogue, delicate background ambience, sudden crashes and gunfire are relayed with admirable attack and clarity. If there’s a weak link in the chain it’s the sub, which isn’t quite deep or punchy enough to really knock your neighbours for six, but it still manages to lend a solid, well-integrated foundation to the action. Netflix Instant StreamingNetflix instant streaming enables you to watch movies and TV programs from a selection of over 12,000 in total. The multi-device, partially backlit remote controls it all, although I'm not a fan of the layout. We also took Indiana Jones for a spin and its Dolby True HD track is also presented with plenty of detail and vitality.
For now it gets a Recommended Award on the presumption that LG will make sure the price is keen. You won’t find many players with a better operating system, which makes the deck gratifyingly simple to use. It employs the dubiously-named but ingenious XrossMediaBar, which displays a horizontal row of icons interjected by the corresponding options. One of these is the setup menu, which presents all of the options in an understandable way, including the HDMI and secondary audio options, although there’s no specific setting that makes the deck output in LPCM. There are three optical digital inputs too, plus coaxial digital and analogue stereo ports for good measure.
It's a Blu-ray player, and a speaker system, and a wireless streaming media device. But I believe that its substantial price tag reflects the esthetics, the convenience and the underlying technology more than its audio/video performance in typical use. Even so, the wireless internet and subwoofer setup, combined with the host of online and home network streaming options make this the most versatile soundbar--and one of the most well-featured Blu-ray players overall--that I've ever tried.

You get two remotes, one with the sound system and the S350, although you can control both using the HT-FS1’s remote which makes life a lot easier. It’s generally well laid out with decent labelling of the most-used buttons but it feels overburdened with icons in places. ATLANTA, Sept. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Panasonic today announced the debut of its first 2.1 channel Blu-ray Disc home theater system. The innovative SC-BTX70 is designed with a chic, upright silhouette, making it an ideal match for a flat panel TV. Panasonic’s SC-BTX70 unleashes the beauty of Blu-ray Disc, while also providing a wide variety of other digital media options for family and friends to enjoy.
LG 2.1 Blu-ray & DVD Home Cinema System
Like the company's other 2009 Blu-ray products, this funky-looking home theater system can also stream Netflix movies and Pandora's online music service. Although it’s not up there with LG and Samsung’s latest players, it’s fairly fast to load a disc. We clocked ”Spider-Man 3’s” first screen appearing at around 55 seconds, which is well within acceptable limits.
Selling online from the usual big retailers (and for as little as £340), the core of the HT-C6200 is its Blu-ray player. It’s unusually well specified, hosting Samsung’s online content platform - Internet@TV - that gives you access to a plethora of online widgets comprising YouTube, Lovefilm movie streaming , Twitter, Picasa, Facebook, Google Maps, USA Today, Rovi TV listings and Getty Images. It’s still lacking BBC iPlayer despite Samsung promising it in the recent past, but Internet@TV does appear to be set for bigger things, so it might be worth investing in. For now, at least all of this can be done over Wi-Fi so there’s no need to trail an Ethernet cable all the way to a router.
